• My children are 3 and 5 years old. What can they do at SportsOhio? During the outdoor season, kids these ages will probably have the most fun playing our 18-hole mini-golf course at PowerPlay. Our Rookie Track carts are similar to Power Wheels and are also a fun way to spend time at PowerPlay. We also offer other programs that require pre-registration. These include Little Champions, a developmental program starting at 18 months (call Field Sports 614-791-7849), soccer programs starting at age 2 (call Soccer First 614-793-0101), baseball and flag football programs at age 4, golf camps at age 5 (call The Golf Center 614-791-3002) and field hockey at age 6 (call Field Sports 614-791-7849). New Early Start programs include Tumble'n'Sports Nuts, an activity-filled program for children 18 mos - 30 mos.; Mommy & Me, a program designed to enhance skill & social development for ages 18 mos.-30 mos. and Pre-School Drop-In, a program that opens the door to sports for children ages 6 mos.-6 years. Call Field Sports at 614-791-7849 for more information on the Early Start Programs.
• Can my child drive your go-karts? If not, can they ride along? Go-kart drivers must be at least 58” tall (approximately 4’10”), regardless of age, to drive our go-karts. Riders must be at least 40” tall to ride in the double karts and be driven by someone over 18-years-old. • Is there an age restriction at the batting cages? There are no age restrictions for the batting cages, however we caution you to supervise any children under 12-years-old and make sure they only enter the cages that their abilities can handle. Cage speeds range from about 35 mph to 75 mph. • Is there an age restriction at The Golf Center? There is not an age restriction, however we do require all customers at The Golf Center use proper golf etiquette and respect all rules properly. This means that each golfer should be able to replace ball marks, divots and be courteous to all other golfers. Failure to do so may result in removal from The Golf Center without refund. • Are there any walk-in or drop-in programs for kids at SportsOhio? Outside of PowerPlay and The Golf Center, which are open to the public, most programs at SportsOhio require registration. One exception is the Open Play days at Field Sports. On select days throughout the year, including most school holidays, Field Sports opens its doors to anyone who wants to play. For a list of dates or for more information, please call Field Sports at (614) 791-7849. |
